Finally, almost two years after its predecessor ended, Invincible season 2 has a teaser trailer and launch window.
Revealed by Amazon Studios on Friday, January 20, the hugely popular Prime Video show will return to our screens in late 2023. The announcement will be made two days before the 20th.
To celebrate the announcement of Invincible’s second season release window and further commemorate the comic book series’ anniversary, Amazon also released the first humorous meta-teaser. Check it out below:
Funnily enough, this isn’t a traditional TV show trailer. The teaser of Mark and Allen the Alien talking at BM’s burger joint spends most of its time poking fun at, well, how long it takes for the Season 2 news to arrive. If hearing Mark talk about the animation production pipeline doesn’t make you smile (at least), then you’re watching the wrong show.
Invincible season 2 also seems to have gotten an impressive glow. The animation looks smoother, the colors pop more – overall it seems to have its own unique animation style that should help it stand out from the crowd. In short: we can’t wait to see how it looks and works in action.
For some, these announcements will come as no big surprise.
On January 19, the Invincible social media team teased that a big reveal was imminent. The first photo from season 2 of Mark and Allen eating grub at the same BM burger joint has been revealed on Twitter. The tweet that followed also told fans to look out for the big announcement between 6am PT (that’s 9am ET and 2pm GMT) and, for some odd reason, 10:43am PT (1:43: 00 ET / 6:43:00 GMT).
Fortunately, at 9am PT / 2pm ET / 5pm GMT, Amazon Studios has revealed the first official details about Invincible season 2. Let’s hope we won’t have to wait long for the official release date to be announced.

Details about the second season of Invincible have been leaking for a long time. In January 2022, Steven Yeun – who voices Mark Grayson / Invincible – revealed that he had not started recording voice lines for the next installment of the show. However, that changed in April 2022 when Yeun was finally filmed entering the recording booth.
Yeun only started work on season 2 last April, but the second season of Invincible has been in development for over two years. Speaking exclusively to TechRadar in March 2022, showrunner Simon Racioppa said the entire crew has been “working hard” on seasons 2 and 3. Amazon renewed its hit series for two more seasons in May 2021.
It remains to be seen whether Invincible – one of Prime Video’s best shows – will receive more entries. Given how popular his first appearance was, and how eager fans are for the next two seasons, we expect Amazon to announce whether season 4 will be launching soon. There have been rumors online that season 4 of Invincible is already in development. However, in November 2022, TechRadar exclusively revealed that Amazon Studios had not secretly renewed Invincible for a fourth season.
